Security AI Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Fully remote; the contract is outside IR35.

Salary: £50,000–£55,000 per annum.

What you will do

• Design and build autonomous security agents for real-world security operations.
• Develop AI-driven solutions for SOC, incident response, and security automation.
• Integrate agentic systems with security and operational tooling.
• Use modern agent orchestration frameworks and MCP.
• Build self-healing infrastructure and automated remediation capabilities.
• Help evolve traditional SOC processes into intelligent, autonomous workflows.

Requirements

• Direct experience in security operations or automation for security environments.
• Experience building AI agents or agentic AI systems for security use cases.
• Strong software engineering skills, ideally with Python.
• Experience in SOC, SecOps, incident response, or security engineering environments.
• Knowledge of agent orchestration frameworks and MCP.
• Experience taking AI or automation solutions from proof of concept into production in a security context.

Nice to have

• Experience building security automation, SOAR workflows, or detection and response automation.
