Security Engineer (AI Security)

Location: London (Shoreditch), hybrid; three days per week in the Shoreditch office. Core hours are 10am–4pm.

Salary: £70,000–£85,000 plus share options of up to £15,000.

What you will do

• Run and review vulnerability scans, track findings through remediation, and maintain accountability to SLAs.
• Harden cloud services and systems against CIS and NIST baselines.
• Support security incident detection, response, documentation, and playbook maintenance.
• Audit user accounts and access, identifying stale accounts, weak passwords, and anomalies.
• Review AI tools, LLM features, agents, and MCP server requests for data exposure and model risks.
• Contribute to AI risk assessments, threat modelling, secure design reviews, and security education for technical teams.

Requirements

• Interest in building foundational depth in one or two security domains through reliable execution of security processes.
• Comfort with vulnerability scanning, patching, auditing, access reviews, and incident response processes.
• Ability to learn new security tools and playbooks, including scanning tools and SSO platforms.
• Curiosity about the safe adoption of AI tooling, including LLM features, agents, and MCP integrations.
• Clear, transparent, and supportive communication style.
• Ability to work from the London office three days per week.
