Compounder (Softgel)

Location: Onsite in San Fernando, California, United States; the role does not provide immigration sponsorship or support, including Form I-983 STEM OPT training plans. Regular day shift with possible overtime.

Salary: $45,000–$74,000 per year, plus potential annual performance bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Receive, weigh, subdivide, and mix bulk ingredients according to manufacturing procedures.
• Operate and adjust automatic equipment while monitoring gelatin temperatures and production flow.
• Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble pumps, receivers, mixers, and related equipment.
• Maintain accurate batch records, production logs, and computer data entries.
• Use drum lifters, forklifts, pallet jacks, and scales to move and measure materials.
• Prepare vendor orders, transfer products between containers, and package materials for shipping.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of equivalent work experience.
• At least six months of manufacturing experience; compounder or blending experience is preferred.
• Fluent English communication skills are required for reading procedures, following instructions, maintaining records, and discussing production issues.
• Forklift certification must be obtained within three months of starting the role.
• Manual dexterity, accurate basic math skills, and the ability to operate, clean, and assemble production equipment.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift, perform repetitive duties, and handle containers weighing up to 50 pounds; drums up to 600 pounds are moved with lifting equipment.
