What you will do

• Lead institutional bids for ESA, DLR, EC, governmental institutions, and other external stakeholders.
• Manage institutional projects and coordinate communication between internal contributors and external partners.
• Maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocation, tender deadlines, and milestones.
• Perform concept studies, system trade-offs, and material selection or make-versus-buy evaluations.
• Create and manage high-quality project and technical documentation aligned with institutional expectations.

Requirements

• Master's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a bid or project manager, including external stakeholder management.
• At least 2 years of experience working in an institutional environment.
• Fluent English and German writing and communication skills required.
• Strong understanding of rocketry, project management, organization, prioritization, and analytical problem-solving.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, avionics, and propulsion systems, plus experience with technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Young Graduate Trainee experience at ESA or another European institution.
• Experience designing mechanical systems.
