Project Engineering Delivery Lead (Defence)

Location: Templecombe or London, United Kingdom; 4 days per week onsite

Salary: GBP 50,000–65,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead engineering work packages to agreed cost, schedule, and quality targets.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage dependencies, actions, delivery risks, opportunities, and engineering governance.
• Monitor project schedules, resource allocation, budgets, and delivery performance.
• Support bids, change requests, estimates, planning, solution development, and growth activities.

Requirements

• Willingness and eligibility to obtain SC security clearance.
• At least 7 years of experience in engineering delivery, project engineering, or work package management within a complex technical environment.
• Experience with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource management, risk management, and delivery governance.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams and influencing stakeholders without direct line management responsibility.
• Experience in defence, aerospace, naval, security, or another highly regulated sector.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience from a technical military background.

Nice to have

• Background in systems, software, hardware, or electronics engineering.
• Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Jira, DOORS, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Experience supporting bids, proposals, change requests, or business growth activities.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management methodologies.
• Experience with radar, communications, mission systems, underwater systems, or other defence programmes.
