Backend Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs for the card issuing platform.
• Build scalable systems for card issuance, payment processing, and local and global card transactions.
• Integrate third-party payment providers and systems.
• Troubleshoot bugs, incidents, performance bottlenecks, and scalability issues while improving system reliability.
• Build internal operational tools and reporting systems, and support regression and integration testing.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Operations through planning, code reviews, technical discussions, and feature delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Golang and experience building RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with microservices, SQL databases such as MariaDB or MySQL, Git, and GitHub workflows.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines, plus strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and participate in on-call support.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude or Codex.
