Senior Data Scientist (Retail Media)

Location: Cologne, Germany (Hybrid/WFH options available)

What you will do

• Develop retail media products using data science and ML to create value for customers and advertisers.
• Lead end-to-end ML initiatives from problem definition and experimentation through to production deployment and monitoring.
• Design and evaluate ML models, making trade-offs between performance, scalability, and business impact.
• Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and domain experts to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions.
• Contribute to data science best practices and act as a technical sparring partner within the Data & AI team.

Requirements

• Solid experience in applied data science and ML, including building and deploying models in production environments.
• Strong foundation in Python, SQL, statistical modelling, and large-scale data processing.
• Experience with or strong interest in retail media, digital advertising, marketing analytics, or recommender systems.
• Ability to take ownership of ambiguous problems and create structured solutions.
