Systems Solutions & Network Engineer

Location: Porto, Portugal; hybrid work model. The role involves travel to several European countries and collaboration with colleagues across Denmark, Italy, Norway, and Portugal.

What you will do

• Design, operate, and troubleshoot systems and network infrastructure supporting a European stock-market and trading environment.
• Manage firewall technologies, including Check Point and Fortinet.
• Evaluate network service-provider solutions, SLAs, fibre paths, and redundancy.
• Analyze network traces in critical and complex environments.
• Support data-centre infrastructure and trading network protocols such as SWIFT and FIX.
• Coordinate infrastructure changes according to ITIL change-management processes.

Requirements

• Engineering degree and 3–5 years of experience in similar network or systems engineering roles.
• Juniper JNCIP or Cisco CCNP certification; CCNA may also be considered.
• Advanced knowledge of firewall technologies, especially Check Point and Fortinet.
• Knowledge of network service providers, data-centre infrastructure, network trace analysis, and security-focused operations.
• Good English and Portuguese language skills required.
• Willingness to travel to several European countries.
