TL;DR
IT Infrastructure Technical Consultant (Datacenter Infrastructure): Delivering and deploying compute-, storage-, VMware-, and Linux-based datacenter platforms for enterprise customers with an accent on infrastructure design, migration, implementation, and technical consulting. Focus on designing complex datacenter solutions, integrating virtualization and cloud technologies, and coordinating deployments across customers, partners, and delivery teams.
Location: Hybrid, based in the HPE Oslo office in Norway, with an average expectation of two office days per week. Most work may be performed locally and remotely, with collaboration across the Nordic-North region.

What you will do
- Provide technical consulting to internal and external customers, partners, and delivery teams.
- Coordinate and lead infrastructure implementations, deployments, solution design, and migration activities.
- Plan, design, and support presales activities for complex datacenter solutions.
- Install, configure, and deploy compute- and storage-based platforms and datacenter technologies.
- Install, configure, and deploy VMware- and Linux-based platforms.
- Build long-term customer relationships and continuously expand expertise in relevant technologies and market domains.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field; eight or more years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
- Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure products, including compute, storage, and datacenter solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Linux-based computing and relevant operating systems.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality outcomes in complex environments.
- Professional-level Norwegian and English language skills are required.
- Willingness and eligibility to successfully complete Norwegian security clearance are required.
Nice to have
- Experience or certifications in Linux-based operating systems, KVM, VMware ESXi, software-defined cloud and storage solutions.
- Experience with networking, backup, Kubernetes, Docker, or OpenShift.
- Valid national, EU, or NATO-level security clearance.
