Senior Windows Systems Administrator (Expert)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal, with a hybrid work model and one remote day per week allowed. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in Europe.

What you will do

• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Windows Server systems and management tools.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and stability using SolarWinds and related tooling.
• Implement access management, security updates, and Windows hardening measures with the Security team.
• Investigate and resolve complex Windows incidents for end-users and IT staff.
• Develop PowerShell automation scripts and assess Ansible for applicable operational workflows.
• Collaborate with Network, Wintel, Security, infrastructure stakeholders, and business users on technical requirements and training.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a Windows systems administration role.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows environments, including GPO, hardening, and automation.
• Hands-on experience with SolarWinds for dashboards, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Strong networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, load balancing, and SSL VPNs.
• Solid PowerShell scripting skills and the ability to resolve complex Windows issues independently.
• Communicative English at B2–C1 level and an existing legal right to work in Europe are required.

Nice to have

• Azure knowledge.
• Experience with VMware or other monitoring and virtualization tools.
• Knowledge of ITIL incident and change management processes.
