What you will do

• Design and implement complex flight software systems, including vehicle flight modes, mission sequencing, and autonomy logic.
• Make architectural decisions balancing correctness, maintainability, performance, and long-term platform evolution.
• Develop and improve simulation environments for software development and validation.
• Write high-quality C++ and build supporting tools and automation with Python and MATLAB.
• Investigate difficult-to-reproduce issues through disciplined, data-driven root-cause analysis.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and day-to-day technical collaboration.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering experience delivering complex technical systems.
• Deep practical experience with C++ and software architecture.
• Strong understanding of software design, testing, debugging, maintainability, and complex codebases.
• Ability to improve engineering standards through review culture, knowledge sharing, and clear technical reasoning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, sound engineering judgment, and an ability to make trade-offs explicit.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple technical disciplines with a disciplined, detail-oriented approach.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, space systems, robotics, autonomous systems, simulation, modelling, control systems, scientific computing, safety-critical software, embedded or real-time systems, or distributed software.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Linux, Git, CI/CD, and SIL or HIL environments.
