Company

The Exploration Company is developing Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle designed for cargo and potential human transport.

What you will do

• Design and own core flight software modules for spacecraft control, telemetry, data handling, and communications.
• Develop high-reliability code using modern C++ and Python for support tooling.
• Build and maintain automated unit, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test frameworks.
• Create high-fidelity simulations to model flight dynamics and subsystem interactions.
• Collaborate with GNC, avionics, and propulsion teams to ensure seamless system integration.
• Participate in code reviews and flight readiness assessments.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in modern C++ (C++17 or newer) and Python.
• Experience with real-time systems, embedded development, or spacecraft software.
• Strong understanding of mathematics and physics.
• Experience with CI/CD and build systems.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to Munich, Germany.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of RTOS and communication protocols (TCP/IP, UART, CAN Bus).
• Experience with automotive or flight software frameworks.
• Background in orbital mechanics or space mission lifecycles.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as AUTOSAR, ECSS, or DO-178.
