TL;DR
Technical Systems Integration Manager (Automation): Owning the technical acceptance and operational integration of automated warehouse systems with an accent on controls architecture, WMS interfaces, safety validation, and vendor governance. What you will do
- Own integration between the warehouse management system, mobile scanning, and ’s internal platform, including interface specifications, master data ownership, and message-failure handling.
- Review and approve the vendor’s PLC, network, electrical, motor control, power distribution, and panel design.
- Define barcode, labeling, scanning, dimension, weight, and physical-layer data quality requirements.
- Plan and run FAT, SAT, integration testing, and test scripts against the functional design specification.
- Manage cutover, ramp-up, hyper-care, and transition into steady-state operations while protecting customer supply.
- Administer automation contracts, drawing revisions, scope and price changes, variations, schedules, consultants, contractors, and cross-functional technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical, Mechatronic, Control Systems, Automation, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience delivering automated material-handling or process systems, including ASRS, shuttle, conveyor, sortation, robotics, or similar systems.
- Demonstrated experience integrating plant controls, warehouse management systems, and enterprise business systems.
- Industrial controls, electrical engineering, commissioning, and test-management experience through live operation.
- Experience with machinery safety risk assessment and safety-system validation against AS/NZS 4024 or an equivalent standard.
- Full Australian working rights and availability for on-site work are required.
