What you will do
- Own the multi-year roadmap for telematics gateways, sensors, cabling, and accessories from concept through end-of-life.
- Engage operational executives, customers, prospects, and sales teams through strategic deals, executive briefings, and field visits.
- Manage commercial outcomes including revenue growth, attach rates, costs, margins, and business cases for new products.
- Align Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Engineering, and Product Management on product strategy and execution tradeoffs.
- Drive field validation, launch readiness, product releases, and solutions spanning cloud applications and edge devices.
- Use customer, market, fleet, and analytics data to prioritize investments and mentor early-career product managers.
Requirements
- 7+ years of product management experience, including significant experience with enterprise-grade, cloud-connected hardware.
- Bachelorβs degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Track record of launching commercially successful enterprise IT or IoT hardware products and managing product lines with $100M+ revenue.
- Strong business acumen and ability to balance feature scope, cost, development risk, performance, and schedule.
- Experience aligning Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Engineering around a product roadmap.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders at all levels.
Nice to have
- 10+ years of product management experience with enterprise, cloud-connected hardware.
- Software or hardware engineering background, or an MBA-supported transition into product management.
- Knowledge of CAN bus, OBD-II/J1939, telematics, sensors, wireless connectivity, and edge AI.
- Familiarity with contract manufacturing, FCC/PTCRB/carrier certification, and global supply chain operations.
- MBA.
