Director, Biostatistics (Biotechnology)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Hybrid-eligible with remote work available up to two days per week, or on-site five days per week with ad hoc flexibility.

Salary: $204,000–$306,000 USD base salary, plus potential annual bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

• Direct statistical activities across multiple clinical trials, observational studies, and real-world data investigations.
• Set statistical and scientific direction within cross-functional drug development teams.
• Author statistical analysis plans, TFL shells, cross-functional data review plans, key reports, and data dissemination plans.
• Lead collaboration with statistical programming and other functions to ensure technically sound study deliverables.
• Represent Biostatistics in interactions with regulators, payers, review boards, and external scientific stakeholders.
• Manage, mentor, and develop direct reports while promoting effective team collaboration.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or master's degree in Statistics or Biostatistics.
• Typically 10 years of experience with a Ph.D. or 13 years with a master's degree, or an equivalent combination.
• Expertise with SAS and R statistical software.
• Advanced knowledge of statistical methods used in drug development and strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with NDA/MAA submissions and direct interaction with United States and European regulators.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to non-statistical audiences.
