Site Reliability Engineer, Global Banking & Markets, Frontline Production Engineering (DevOps)

Location: Onsite in New York, New York, United States

Salary: $130,000–$250,000 base salary, plus potential discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Own the availability, latency, performance, monitoring, and operational health of production trading services.
• Design and maintain software tools and frameworks that automate manual workflows and reduce operational toil.
• Support pre-release engineering through system design reviews, capacity planning, release validation, and change management.
• Diagnose production issues, coordinate incident response, lead post-mortems, and resolve technical problems with trading desks, quantitative strategists, and vendors.
• Improve platform stability, scalability, performance, and disaster-recovery readiness.
• Build automated checkout tests to validate environment health across trading sessions and support US equities and options execution issues.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional experience in SRE, production engineering, or DevOps.
• Experience supporting and maintaining highly available production platforms.
• Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python or Bash; experience with an object-oriented language such as Java or C++ is beneficial.
• Experience with automated testing at scale, CI/CD pipelines, release management, SDLC, and Git.
• Understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, FIX, and network topologies.
• Knowledge of US equities and options market microstructure and electronic trading is required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience with Java or C++.
• Strong networking and protocol knowledge.
