TL;DR
Lead Robotics Engineer (C++/Python/ROS): Building and deploying autonomy components for large off-road machines with an accent on perception, planning, controls, learning, and production hardware. Focus on designing full-stack robotics systems, solving real-world autonomy challenges, and moving components from simulation and prototypes to field deployment.

Location: Onsite in Irving, Texas, United States, five days per week. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $128,470–$208,770 per year.

What you will do

  • Design, build, test, and ship autonomy components across perception, planning, control, and learning.
  • Own robotics components end-to-end, from ideas and prototypes through production deployment on real hardware.
  • Participate in robotics software test reviews, analysis, witnessing, and certification.
  • Contribute across the autonomy stack while providing deep expertise in at least one technical domain.
  • Deploy and validate robotics software on off-road machines and real customer sites.
  • Collaborate in small, outcome-owning engineering pods.

Requirements

  • Typically 8+ years of related engineering experience.
  • Strong robotics generalist skills across the autonomy stack.
  • Expertise in at least one area: AI, motion planning, perception, controls, or SLAM.
  • Production-quality C++ and Python programming.
  • Experience with ROS or a similar robotics framework in real systems.
  • Full-lifecycle robotics product experience, including simulation and on-vehicle deployment.

Nice to have

  • Experience with field robotics or autonomous vehicles, especially off-road systems.
  • Learning-based control or perception, foundation models, or VLA-style models.
  • MLOps and machine-learning training infrastructure experience.
  • Pragmatic, first-principles engineering approach with strong end-to-end ownership.
