Salary: $172,630–$258,950 annually

What you will do

• Hire, lead, mentor, and grow a team of robotics engineers in Dallas.
• Own the hiring bar, technical craft standards, team health, and career development.
• Partner with capability stewards and pod leads to staff teams and deliver against the roadmap.
• Guide robotics designs and unblock complex technical decisions across the autonomy stack.
• Lead full-lifecycle delivery from concept through production deployment.
• Work with the team on real off-road machines and validate software in field environments.

Requirements

• Proven engineering-management experience in robotics, autonomy, autonomous vehicles, or a related deep-tech domain.
• Strong technical foundation across robotics and the autonomy stack, including perception, motion planning, controls, SLAM, and AI.
• Background with C++, Python, and ROS, with sufficient hands-on depth to review designs and resolve difficult problems.
• Experience taking products from ideas to production, beyond research or prototypes.
• Experience building high-performing teams and managing hiring, mentoring, and career growth.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Irving, Texas; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Field robotics or real-world off-road autonomy experience.
• Experience standing up or scaling a robotics team at a new or growing site.
• Experience maintaining a stable talent bench and outcome-focused delivery teams.
• Experience working in a fast-moving, small-pod operating model.
