Location: On-site in North Kingstown, RI

Salary: $225,000 – $250,000 + Equity + Bonus

What you will do

• Lead and grow a multidisciplinary team of robotics, embedded, and systems engineers.
• Develop architecture, tooling, and processes for rapid autonomy integration across various unmanned platforms.
• Design standardized interfaces for sensors, payloads, communications systems, and vehicle controllers.
• Partner with autonomy, perception, and hardware teams to ensure seamless deployment of HavocOS.
• Oversee the bring-up, validation, debugging, and field testing of integrated robotic systems.
• Mentor engineers and establish high engineering standards and configuration-management practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Robotics, CS, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of robotics or autonomous-systems engineering experience, including 3+ years leading technical engineering teams.
• Strong proficiency with ROS2, C++, Python, and embedded Linux.
• Experience integrating sensors such as LiDAR, cameras, radar, IMUs, and GNSS.
• Deep understanding of perception pipelines, localization, sensor fusion, and robotic navigation.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in North Kingstown, RI.

Nice to have

• Experience with PX4, ArduPilot, MAVLink, DDS, or Zenoh.
• Experience with AI-based perception and computer-vision models.
• Familiarity with defense, maritime, or aerospace autonomous-vehicle programs.
• Active U.S. security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
