Salary: $4,739–$5,102 CAD per month

What you will do
- Coordinate full-cycle appointments, reappointments, terminations, funding transfers, salary changes, leaves, and related personnel transactions in Workday.
- Advise faculty and staff on HR policies, leave management, benefits, appointments, and applicable collective agreement terms.
- Maintain appointment trackers, employee records, payroll data, electronic mailing lists, and HR documentation.
- Support recruitment through candidate shortlisting, interview scheduling, reference checks, offer letters, onboarding, and site-specific orientations.
- Investigate and resolve payroll and personnel discrepancies with Payroll, Human Resources, Financial Services, and Faculty of Medicine offices.
- Prepare reports and analysis, coordinate meetings, take minutes, and provide administrative backup as required.
Requirements
- High school graduation plus a two-year post-secondary diploma and four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with Workday or another HR information system is preferred.
- Clear written and verbal business English communication skills, including composing routine correspondence and reports.
- Strong accuracy, organization, judgment, initiative, discretion, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to protect confidential personal information and comply with privacy and security requirements.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty, students, staff, and central university departments.
Nice to have
- Diploma or certificate in human resources management.
- Previous experience in human resources and familiarity with systems and procedures.
- Training in office procedures and typing speed of 50 words per minute.
- Experience researching, analyzing, and synthesizing complex information into reports.
