AI Tutor (Bulgarian)

Location: Remote worldwide, subject to legal eligibility, time-zone compatibility, and role-specific needs. US-based candidates cannot be hired in Wyoming or Illinois. Visa sponsorship is not provided. Full-time, part-time, and contractor arrangements may be available.

Salary: US-based candidates earn $35–$45 per hour; international compensation is provided during the recruitment process.

What you will do

• Annotate, label, record, and evaluate multilingual audio clips, voice recordings, speech samples, and other auditory data.
• Translate and localize English UI copy, prompts, responses, and related content into Bulgarian.
• Curate high-quality audio datasets representing pronunciation, accents, intonation, rhythm, stress, emotion, and other prosodic details.
• Assess noisy, accented, or ambiguous speech and provide consistent, defensible feedback.
• Collaborate with technical staff to improve speech modulation, multilingual audio processing, and annotation workflows.

Requirements

• Native Bulgarian proficiency with exposure to diverse accents, dialects, or regional variations.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with clear pronunciation suitable for audio recording.
• Strong auditory perception and accurate transcription skills across accents and varying audio quality.
• Ability to translate and localize content between English and Bulgarian while preserving meaning, tone, and cultural nuance.
• Ability to provide high-quality voice recordings, evaluate speech data, and make independent judgments on ambiguous material.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice to have

• Background in linguistics, phonetics, phonology, sociolinguistics, speech sciences, or cognitive science.
• Experience with speech or audio datasets, annotation workflows, AI training data, or voice models.
• Experience in translation or localization for software UI, product copy, or conversational AI.
• Professional voice work, voice acting, podcasting, or audio production experience.
• Portfolio of voice samples, annotated transcripts, or related audio work.
