Licensing Manager (Fintech)

Location: Remote within Canada; work must be performed within the country of employment.

Base pay: CAD 133,000–183,000 per year, plus potential equity, stipends, and benefits.

What you will do

• Support product and service launches involving money transmission, lending, servicing, collections, international expansion, and related licensing requirements.
• Coordinate with Legal, Public Affairs, Compliance, Finance, Tax, Product, and business leaders on regulatory obligations.
• Prepare and submit state licensing annual reports, MSB call reports, NMLS filings, renewal applications, and other regulatory submissions.
• Maintain licensing workflows, regulatory guidance, obligation repositories, and ongoing requirements in the licensing management tool.
• Identify licensing issues, coordinate with senior leadership, and ensure timely completion of regulatory filings.
• Develop more efficient licensing processes, including AI-enabled workflows and requirements research.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of licensing, compliance, or regulatory experience, ideally in consumer financial services.
• Strong project management, critical thinking, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, make independent decisions, and work with limited supervision.
• Integrity, ownership, curiosity, and comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities.
