TL;DR
Manager, Accounting Advisory (Behavioral Health): Advising behavioral health providers on financial reporting, reimbursement, compliance, budgeting, and operational improvement with an accent on healthcare revenue cycle analysis, client reporting, and technical accounting. Focus on leading distributed engagement teams, solving complex financial and compliance challenges, and coaching accounting professionals.
Location: 100% remote anywhere in the United States; up to 10% travel required.

What you will do
- Review financial reporting packages and work papers for quality, completeness, and timely delivery.
- Prepare benchmarking analyses, key performance indicators, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models.
- Present reporting packages and findings to clients and provide technical accounting guidance.
- Identify operational inefficiencies through discovery sessions and recommend practical improvements.
- Lead US and offshore engagement teams to ensure efficient workflows and consistent, high-quality client deliverables.
- Coach staff and senior accountants on accounting and financial reporting matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of public or private accounting experience, including experience with healthcare, behavioral health, nonprofit, or community-based organizations.
- Understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes, claims, contractual adjustments, fee-for-service reimbursement, and PMPM or capitation models.
- Experience with state and federal funding compliance, program reporting, financial reporting, and analysis.
- At least 3 years of experience managing associates or teams.
- Proficiency with Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Bill.com, and similar accounting technologies; strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- CPA, CMA, or similar professional certification.
- Cost allocation and Single Audit experience.
- Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic experience.
