Cloud Engineer DevSecOps (AWS)

Location: Montreal, Canada; applicants must be based in Ontario or Québec. English fluency is required for Québec-based candidates to collaborate with teams across the Americas and Europe.

Salary: CAD 100,000–115,000 annually, depending on experience and location.

What you will do

• Lead technical delivery for cloud engineering and DevSecOps initiatives.
• Build and operate cloud-native platforms on AWS, including EKS environments.
• Implement infrastructure automation with Terraform and GitOps workflows using FluxCD.
• Design and manage service mesh, observability, and cloud-native security capabilities.
• Work autonomously in complex and undefined environments while collaborating with distributed teams.
• Integrate AI development practices into platform engineering where applicable.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in Kubernetes, especially EKS, AWS, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, service mesh, and FluxCD.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native security, including IAM, secrets management, and network policies.
• Strong understanding of metrics, logs, traces, and observability platforms.
• AI-native experience and maturity in AI development.
• Applicants must be based in Ontario or Québec; Québec-based candidates must be fluent in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kong Mesh or Kuma, CloudFront, microservices architecture, and Internal Developer Platforms such as Backstage.
• Ability to integrate AI into platform engineering practices.
• Knowledge of GCP or Azure.
• Cloud platform certification.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and consulting.
