What you will do

• Create concepts for characters, environments, props, events, and other gameplay elements.
• Gather references and develop visual inspiration for the art team.
• Produce clear designs for asset artists to use in production.
• Participate in technical and aesthetic problem-solving discussions.
• Collaborate with outsourcing teams and provide artistic feedback.

Requirements

• 6+ years of game development experience.
• Demonstrated concept art experience using Photoshop.
• Strong foundations in design, architecture, human and animal anatomy, composition, perspective, color theory, and lighting.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Ability to receive and apply art direction and critique.
• A web portfolio demonstrating environment, character, creature, vehicle, weapon, and prop concept development.

Nice to have

• Experience with 3D DCC tools such as Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, or SketchUp.
• Background in architecture, photography, cinematography, or digital and traditional painting.
• Experience creating UI concepts, graphic icons, or graphic design work.
