IT Operations Engineer (Networking)

TL;DR

IT Operations Engineer (Networking): Supporting enterprise data centers, cloud platforms, and network infrastructure for mission-critical professional sports operations with an accent on high availability, incident response, and secure systems administration. Focus on managing multisite environments, troubleshooting complex network and virtualization issues, and maintaining reliable infrastructure during game-day operations.

Location: Onsite in New York City; first shift from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, working Friday through Tuesday, including weekends and holidays.

Salary: $120,000–$165,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage and maintain Windows, Linux, and Unix server environments.
• Administer AWS, Azure, O365, VMware, and containerization environments.
• Support Cisco, Arista, Meraki, wireless, firewall, routing, and network monitoring infrastructure.
• Lead network-related incident resolution, escalations, and SLA fulfillment.
• Support backup and disaster recovery solutions, including Rubrik and Zerto.
• Create network documentation, topology maps, and troubleshooting procedures.

Requirements

• Strong experience with NOC operations, enterprise networking, Cisco technologies, Windows, Linux, Unix, and ServiceNow.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, O365, VMware, virtualization, and cloud operations.
• Experience with firewalls, routing protocols, SolarWinds, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Ability to support a complex, multisite environment and provide game-day coverage on major holidays.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Must work onsite in New York City on the specified Friday–Tuesday schedule and first shift.

Nice to have

• CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, or relevant server and cloud certifications.
• Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting experience.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, SIEM, endpoint protection, CDNs, and video streaming technologies.
• Experience with infrastructure capacity planning and performance tuning.
