Salary: $180,000–$240,000 USD per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and build reusable marketplace services for purchase orders, contract terms, invoicing, and workflow state management.
• Launch new marketplace products from customer problem discovery to working pilots, iterating through direct customer feedback.
• Improve adoption, quality, workflows, and usage of products already in production.
• Build AI-native workflows using agent harnesses, layered prompting, LLM providers, document-extraction tools, and evaluation systems.
• Partner with product, design, sales, and business leadership on customer problems, pricing, go-to-market, and product decisions.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to system architecture, service boundaries, code review, and pairing.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend and distributed-systems fundamentals.
• Experience designing reliable, maintainable services and APIs.
• Hands-on experience shipping 0-to-1 products or features in a fast-iteration environment with real customers.
• Experience integrating multiple LLM providers, document-extraction tools, agent harnesses, RAG pipelines, and AI evaluation practices.
• Ability to work across the stack and collaborate closely with product teams.
• Remote candidates must be based in the United States; hybrid work is available in Nashville.

Nice to have

• Data engineering, machine learning, or extensive document-processing experience.
• Experience in financial services, construction, real estate, payments, lending, insurance, or other complex B2B environments.
