Mechanical Engineer

Location: Delaware, Ohio, or Edinboro, Pennsylvania, United States. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.

What you will do

• Design and develop mechanical solutions for data center racks, enclosures, and related infrastructure products.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, production drawings, bills of material, and engineering specifications using Autodesk Inventor and related systems.
• Support product development from requirements definition and concept design through prototyping, validation, production release, and ongoing support.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, manufacturing, suppliers, operations, quality, supply chain, and commercial stakeholders.
• Apply design-for-manufacturability, design-for-assembly, cost optimization, standardization, and product reuse principles.
• Identify technical risks, resolve design and manufacturing issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 5–10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, product design, sheet metal design, manufacturing-focused engineering, or related fields.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling with Autodesk Inventor required; Creo experience preferred.
• Experience with engineering drawings, bills of material, specifications, engineering changes, ERP systems, and PLM systems.
• Experience with sheet metal product design, ideally in enclosures, racks, data centers, telecommunications, or technology infrastructure.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with welding, powder coating, structured phase-gate development, or manufacturing processes.
• Experience with Oracle PD Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics, Autodesk Vault, Windchill, or Agile.
• Experience with automation, rule-based design, scripting, or AI-assisted engineering tools such as iLogic, Python, C#, or C++.
