Systems Analyst I - System Administration

Location: Onsite in Midland, Texas, United States; occasional travel to offices and outdoor job sites may be required.

Salary: $77,000–$115,000 per year

What you will do

• Triage and diagnose infrastructure and end-user issues beyond the service desk.
• Support desktop and laptop hardware, operating systems, Office applications, networks, servers, storage, and virtualization technologies.
• Assemble and install servers and other equipment in data centers.
• Execute approved application and infrastructure change controls.
• Mentor Tier I service desk personnel and improve problem-resolution practices.
• Collaborate with applications, infrastructure, vendors, and other IT teams on support issues and new initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Training or experience with operating systems, computer hardware, networking, communications, security administration, and database administration.
• Knowledge of IP networking, Windows Server and/or Unix, shared storage, virtualization, monitoring, logging, and data collection.
• Ability to research and analyze systems software problems, conduct evaluations, and prepare technical procedures and documentation.
• Effective communication skills, including advising, training, and presenting information.
• A driver's license may be required when assigned a company vehicle.
