Salary: $164,652.00–$230,512.80 base pay annually for California and Washington applicants.

What you will do

• Design and develop multi-threaded embedded software in C/C++ for Linux, RTOS, and bare-metal platforms running on multi-core SoCs.
• Implement device drivers and control, management, and data-plane functions for satellite RF transceivers, antenna systems, optical systems, customer terminals, and ground gateways.
• Integrate software with hardware and troubleshoot issues using telemetry, logs, code instrumentation, and hardware and software debugging tools.
• Contribute to architecture, technical documentation, code reviews, and design discussions.
• Establish embedded software testing and troubleshooting practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, data analysis automation, and TDD.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across cross-functional development teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of embedded software development experience in C/C++ for Linux, RTOS, or bare-metal platforms.
• Strong C++ object-oriented design and implementation skills.
• Hands-on embedded debugging experience with tools such as JTAG, SWD, CoreSight, Lauterbach/Trace32, J-Link, or J-Trace.
• Experience with SPI, I3C, I2C, PCIe, CAN, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, TDD, and Agile or Scaled Agile methodologies.
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents, refugees, or asylees admitted to the United States.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant engineering or computer science field.
• At least 5 years of embedded software development experience for mission-critical systems.
• Experience with Linux networking, high-speed data-plane interfaces, satellite communications, space-based networks, cellular wireless, or telecommunications.
• Experience developing drivers for proprietary or merchant silicon and using formal verification methods.
• Knowledge of radiation-hardened computing environments.
