DevSecOps / Platform Practitioner (Remote Opportunity)

TL;DR

DevSecOps / Platform Practitioner (AWS/Kubernetes): Building and operating secure, scalable cloud platforms for a federal healthcare modernization project with an accent on Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitOps, and platform governance. Focus on automating deployments, strengthening security controls, troubleshooting complex platform issues, and improving reliability across AWS environments.

Location: 100% remote within the continental United States; listed locations include Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Austin. U.S. citizenship is required.

What you will do

• Design, implement, administer, and operate secure DevSecOps and cloud platform services.
• Build and improve GitOps deployment workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and platform automation.
• Administer and troubleshoot AWS and Kubernetes components while monitoring availability, performance, reliability, and resiliency.
• Implement security controls, access management, secrets management, and policy enforcement.
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver corrective improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams on governance, documentation, standards, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 4–7 years of experience in DevSecOps, platform engineering, cloud operations, infrastructure engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on AWS experience supporting secure and scalable cloud environments.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized platform administration or troubleshooting.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and GitOps-based deployments.
• U.S. citizenship, successful background check, and ability to obtain and maintain a Government/Public Trust clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS EKS, Amazon RDS, AWS ACK Controllers, Argo CD, and GitHub repositories.
• Experience with HashiCorp Vault, Keycloak, Kyverno, or similar security and policy technologies.
• Experience with GitHub Copilot, federal government environments, or large-scale healthcare modernization initiatives.
