Staff Platform Engineer (FedRAMP)

Location: Hybrid role based in Bellevue, Chicago, New York, San Francisco, or Washington, DC. Candidates must be able to provide documentation establishing U.S. Person status.

Salary: $194,000–$267,000 USD annual base salary for candidates in California excluding the San Francisco Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington; an additional $174,000–$239,000 USD annual range is listed.

What you will do

• Build secure, enterprise-grade privileged access management products using cloud infrastructure and AI-assisted development tools.
• Contribute to the FedRAMP initiative and deliver compliant federal environments.
• Design, develop, deploy, and scale AWS infrastructure, microservices, shared services, and engineering frameworks.
• Lead architecture and code reviews while ensuring scalability, redundancy, multi-tenancy, and strong test coverage.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, optimize, and upgrade owned services to meet growing business requirements.
• Provide technical mentorship and collaborate with architecture, QA, product, security, and operations teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of programming experience in Go, Java, or C++; Go is preferred.
• 4+ years of experience with PostgreSQL or comparable relational databases.
• Experience architecting, implementing, tuning, and debugging large-scale cloud deployments.
• Experience with AWS, infrastructure as code, observability, secrets management, CI/CD, secure coding, and compliance.
• Strong experience building and integrating REST APIs, plus knowledge of network security, authentication, and authorization.
• Ability to submit documentation proving U.S. Person status upon hire is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Experience optimizing database design and queries.
• Familiarity with Agile software development.
