What you will do

• Lead architecture decisions and define engineering standards and code quality practices.
• Build and maintain full-stack applications with Java, Spring Boot, React, and TypeScript.
• Turn MVPs and prototypes into production-ready services with typed APIs, authentication, persistence, and observability.
• Design PostgreSQL schemas, Liquibase migrations, and BigQuery integrations.
• Champion OpenAPI-first development and typed frontend API clients.
• Partner with business stakeholders to preserve product intent while improving technical quality.

Requirements

• Strong backend experience with Java 21, Spring Boot 3.x, REST, OpenAPI contract-first development, PostgreSQL, Liquibase, and Spring Security.
• Experience with observability tooling such as Actuator, Prometheus, and structured logging.
• Frontend experience with React, TypeScript, API-driven interfaces, and server-state management.
• Experience with BigQuery or a similar data warehouse and understanding of data freshness, source-of-truth boundaries, and caching or fallback behavior.
• Hands-on experience with LLM tools and APIs, including evaluating, refactoring, and productionizing AI-generated code.
• Applicants must be based in Belgrade, Serbia, selected EMEA or CIS countries, or Cyprus.

Nice to have

• Backend architecture standards and multi-module Maven experience.
• Experience integrating legacy systems without rewriting them.
• Google APIs, including Sheets, Drive, or BigQuery.
• Workflow automation tools such as n8n.
• TanStack Query experience.
