What you will do

• Lead and execute complex engineering initiatives within the Cloud Storage organization.
• Design and implement distributed, cloud-native products and SaaS applications for production scale.
• Architect solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP with strong focus on performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Decompose complex technical problems into maintainable solutions and guide implementation.
• Contribute to design and code reviews while establishing engineering and testing best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, leadership, customers, and technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with fault-tolerant, highly scalable cloud architectures and cloud-native services.
• Experience building end-to-end systems and scaling distributed systems to production.
• Strong expertise in one or more of Node, Python, Java, Go, or Rust.
• Ability to make technical trade-offs involving performance, maintainability, cost, and time to market.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in the United States, with in-office expectations.

Nice to have

• Experience with data analytics, data migration systems, storage platforms, filesystems, or file and cloud storage protocols such as NFS, SMB, or iSCSI.
• Experience building developer-facing APIs or SDKs used by external customers at scale.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Previous experience as a technical lead in a high-performance engineering organization.
• Front-end experience with TypeScript, React, or Angular.
