Salary: $157,920 – $293,280 per year

What you will do

• Build the software underpinning the mission-critical Confluent Cloud network data plane platform.
• Design, develop, and operationalize high-performance, scalable, and resilient systems.
• Drive the execution of complex software projects in production with a strict focus on quality.
• Leverage and build upon open-source software to deliver business impact.
• Troubleshoot and improve operations for a complex technical stack across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant cloud infrastructure or cloud networking experience.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development.
• Proficiency in C++, Go, Python, or other statically typed languages.
• Experience with public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Must be authorized to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship.
• Solid understanding of systems operations (disk, network, operating systems).

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes Networking and Envoy proxy.
• Expertise in Linux kernel networking and eBPF.
• Strong networking background combined with software engineering experience.
