Location: Abuja, Nigeria; candidates must have the legal right to work in Nigeria and must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service programme (NYSC) or hold a valid exemption certificate.

What you will do
- Produce digital journalism and multimedia stories for mobile-first audiences.
- Film, script, edit, present, and publish video, audio, and social content from concept to completion.
- Identify compelling news angles and simplify complex stories while applying sound editorial judgement.
- Create culturally relevant content for Hausa-speaking audiences across West Africa and the diaspora.
- Use audience insights, performance data, AI tools, and emerging technologies to optimise content reach and impact.
- Collaborate across teams and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced news environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience creating high-performing digital journalism and content for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok.
- Strong video production and editing skills, including experience with Final Cut Pro and QEdit.
- Excellent storytelling, scripting, presentation, writing, editing, and communication skills in Hausa and English.
- Strong understanding of audience analytics, youth audiences, digital consumption habits, and content growth strategies.
- Experience using AI tools and emerging technologies in research, content creation, editing, or production workflows.
- Legal right to work in Nigeria and successful completion of NYSC or a valid certificate of exemption are required.
