Head of Project Management (PMO): Leading a globally distributed PMO responsible for shaping, prioritising, and delivering hirify.global’s strategic portfolio with an accent on executive governance, portfolio value, and organisational alignment. Focus on translating strategy into executable programmes, developing project management leaders, applying AI to reduce low-value work, and managing cross-organisational risks and dependencies.

Location: Multiple countries; hybrid/remote working is available through hirify.global’s flexi-office scheme.

What you will do

• Own the PMO portfolio, project intake process, prioritisation, sequencing, and resource allocation.
• Shape and mobilise strategic initiatives by defining scope, governance, execution structures, and delivery approaches.
• Lead executive reporting, including C-level updates, Supervisory Board materials, and strategic portfolio communications.
• Manage portfolio decision pathways, dependencies, risks, escalations, and mitigation actions.
• Partner with the VP of Corporate Development & Strategy on annual OKR planning and strategic alignment.
• Evolve PMO capabilities, use AI to reduce low-value work, and build a value-driven culture of coaching and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 7+ years of project or programme management experience, including 3+ years in people leadership within a remote or hybrid digital environment.
• Experience leading people leaders and multilayered teams is highly desirable.
• Broad project and programme management experience across business and technology environments, using Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches.
• Project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2, or a relevant degree with applied knowledge of governance, portfolio prioritisation, dependencies, and resource optimisation.
• Strong systems thinking, executive presence, strategic judgement, communication, and stakeholder influence.
• Fluent written and spoken English required.

• Experience with project management tools such as Asana.
• Experience leading people leaders and multilayered teams.
