What you will do

• Design, simulate, and develop DFB lasers and semiconductor optical amplifiers.
• Perform tolerance analysis and optimize photonics components for performance, power efficiency, area, and reliability.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary engineering teams on system-level photonics integration.
• Lead test-chip execution across design, layout, tape-out, testing, and validation.
• Analyze component characterization data, identify performance gaps, and recommend improvements.
• Develop photonics modeling methodologies and lead research into novel component architectures and hirify.globallectual property.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optical Science, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D. with 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven expertise in designing, simulating, and analyzing photonics components, including DFB lasers and semiconductor optical amplifiers.
• Experience with photonic component or integrated circuit test-data analysis using statistical tools or MATLAB/Python libraries.
• Experience with MATLAB programming.
• Familiarity with layout tools such as Cadence and KLayout, and with system-level optical-link modeling.
