Middle Fullstack Engineer (Backend-Focused)

Location: Fully remote, from anywhere

Company

hirify.global is building an in-house engineering team to take full technical responsibility for an internal gaming-related product.

What you will do

• Develop backend-focused features across backend and frontend systems.
• Design database models and migrations, optimize queries, and work with PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Build and integrate REST APIs, including Steam API, in-game data, aggregators, and marketplaces.
• Improve the performance and stability of websites and services.
• Write unit and integration tests, monitor performance, and maintain error logging.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, code reviews, documentation, and collaboration with product and content teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of development experience in product companies.
• Confident hands-on experience with TypeScript, NestJS, and React.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, REST APIs, Git, and Docker.
• Ability to take ownership, learn quickly, and work autonomously with minimal bureaucracy.

Nice to have

• Experience with Next.js, TypeORM, or Zod.
• Experience with GitLab, AWS, Cloudflare, Directus CMS, search systems, or recommendation algorithms.
• Experience with gaming projects, CS platforms, API integrations, or SEO-optimized wiki-style websites.
• Knowledge of CS2 and a genuine passion for gaming.
