TL;DR
Fullstack Software Engineer (Java/React/Fintech): Building end-to-end features for financial flows, including data models, APIs, backend services, and customer-facing interfaces with an accent on payments, collections, reconciliation, and distributed systems. Focus on event-driven microservices, secure RESTful APIs, AI-augmented development, and owning technical decisions across the stack.
Location: Mexico City, Mexico; hybrid work model with office attendance based on business or team needs and more frequent office presence during ramp-up or when required by the leader.

What you will do
- Design and implement backend services in Java and Spring Boot for payments, collections, and reconciliation flows.
- Build and maintain customer and internal interfaces with React and TypeScript.
- Model data and manage PostgreSQL and Redis for transactional and caching needs.
- Develop event-driven services in a distributed microservices environment using Kafka or similar technologies.
- Build and secure RESTful APIs for internal and external consumers.
- Collaborate with the Pod Lead and Product Manager to translate product needs into technical decisions and proactively identify gaps.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience shipping production interfaces with React and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Git, and cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor for writing, reviewing, and debugging code.
- Working proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other message brokers.
- Background in financial services, payments, or fintech.
- Experience with Kubernetes and production observability.
- A side project, open-source contribution, or internal tool to discuss.
