Software Engineer (Teradyne, Singapore)

What you will do

• Translate customer requirements into enhancements for existing software architecture.
• Design and develop programs and libraries for new products.
• Sustain and extend software for existing products.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems engineering, QA, field applications, and customers to solve technical problems.
• Develop test strategies, identify quality improvements, and resolve issues in internal and customer-facing releases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with expert-level C++ and/or C# skills.
• Strong object-oriented design, modern C++, STL, .NET, Windows application development, and Visual Studio debugging experience.
• Experience developing software that interfaces directly with FPGA, ASIC, instrument-based, or other hardware systems.
• Knowledge of unit testing, automated testing, continuous integration, Git or GitLab, code reviews, CI/CD, and Jira or similar Agile tools.
• Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring engineering teams, with strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills. Good written and spoken English is required.

Nice to have

• Windows device driver development, including KMDF, and low-level Windows system programming.
• Experience with instrument control, measurement systems, automated test equipment, or semiconductor memory testing.
• WPF, MFC, or similar Windows GUI frameworks.
• Multithreaded, high-performance, distributed systems, data analytics, or test data processing experience.
• Knowledge of semiconductor test methodologies and memory devices such as DRAM, NAND Flash, or HBM.
