TL;DR
Staff Developer Advocate (APJ): Leading regional developer advocacy strategies and technical content programs to engage the engineering community with an accent on storytelling, public speaking, and technical mentorship. Focus on driving Datadog's presence in the APJ region, coaching internal teams on effective communication, and building a reputation for leadership in observability and DevOps.
Location: Must be based in Singapore (Hybrid role).

What you will do
- Drive regional technical event content programs, including summits and meetups.
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of regional Developer Advocates across APJ.
- Represent Datadog's technical point-of-view at conferences and industry events.
- Coach internal product managers and engineers on public communication and presentation skills.
- Create high-quality technical content including demos, blog posts, and research reports.
- Provide actionable product feedback to engineering teams based on community insights.
Requirements
- Must be based in Singapore.
- 5+ years of experience as a software developer, SRE, or technical practitioner.
- 5+ years of experience in a senior technical developer relations capacity.
- 3+ years of experience in storytelling and creating compelling technical content.
- Proven experience in coaching others to deliver effective public talks.
- Experience in organizing or collaborating on technical conferences and events.
Nice to have
- Experience localizing technical content for regional audiences.
- Multilingual proficiency in ASEAN languages such as Indonesian, Malay, Thai, or Mandarin.
