CPU Verification Engineer

What you will do

• Develop and execute verification plans for CPU logic against architectural and microarchitectural specifications.
• Create reusable UVM-based testbenches and functional coverage models.
• Analyze coverage, identify verification gaps, and drive closure plans.
• Run system-level simulations and debug pre-silicon issues through root-cause analysis.
• Develop automation scripts and tools using Python, Perl, C++, or similar languages.
• Collaborate with CPU architects, RTL designers, and physical design teams on feature definition and technical reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field with 1+ years of relevant experience; alternatively, a Master's or PhD with relevant educational or work experience.
• Experience with Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog and industry-standard simulation tools.
• Experience developing reusable UVM-based verification environments.
• Programming skills in Python, Perl, C++, or a similar language.
• Knowledge of computer architecture, CPU microarchitecture, test development, functional coverage analysis, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
• On-site work in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of x86 architecture, hirify.global Architecture ISA, and assembly programming.
• Pre-silicon and post-silicon CPU verification experience.
• Experience with microcode, firmware, low-level code generation, Synopsys VCS, and Git.
• Experience applying AI or automation to verification processes.
