Mainframe Operator (IBM z/OS)

What you will do

• Monitor and operate IBM Mainframe production systems to ensure maximum reliability.
• Perform daily operational activities including job scheduling, batch processing, and console monitoring.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents, escalating as necessary.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, application support, database, storage, and network teams during incident resolution.
• Execute operational procedures, disaster recovery activities, and scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Maintain operational documentation, logs, and runbooks.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of hands-on experience in IBM Mainframe operations.
• Strong knowledge of z/OS operating system.
• Experience with JES2/JES3, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and IBM Mainframe console operations.
• Experience with job scheduling tools such as CA-7, Control-M, or Tivoli Workload Scheduler.
• Familiarity with CICS, DB2, IMS, and RACF.
• Willingness to work shifts and provide 24/7 production support.
