Applied Scientist II (AI Healthcare)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States

Salary: $142,800–$193,200 USD annually, plus sign-on payments and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Design and implement novel AI and machine learning solutions for healthcare challenges.
• Analyze large datasets, generate insights, and develop statistical and machine learning models.
• Design simulations and experiments and establish best practices for model evaluation, development, and deployment.
• Translate research findings into practical products and actionable plans.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, product managers, customers, and partners to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Partner with leadership on roadmaps and strategic initiatives for early-stage products.

Requirements

• PhD, or a master's degree with 4+ years of experience in computer science, computer engineering, machine learning, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience building models for business applications.
• Experience solving business problems with machine learning, data mining, and statistical algorithms.
• Experience designing experiments and analyzing statistical results.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or a related language.
• Patents or publications in top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.

Nice to have

• Experience with Unix/Linux and professional software development.
• Experience in machine learning, statistics, deep learning, natural language processing, or information retrieval.
• Experience applying causal inference techniques in AI and machine learning systems.
