What you will do

• Architect the end-to-end data lifecycle, managing warehouse infrastructure, pipeline orchestration, and dbt projects.
• Implement a "Data-as-a-Product" philosophy with rigorous SLAs for data quality and accessibility.
• Lead and mentor a distributed data engineering team, driving technical excellence through design reviews and RFCs.
• Partner with Analytics and Data Science teams to co-architect the semantic and context layers.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance by architecting controls for PHI access and audit readiness.
• Establish governance and safety guardrails for AI-native engineering workflows.

Requirements

• 10+ years of expertise in data engineering or platform domains.
• 4+ years of experience leading and scaling high-performing teams.
• Mastery of cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift) and orchestration tools (Dagster or Airflow).
• Expert-level proficiency in dbt, SQL, and Python.
• Professional fluency in HIPAA regulations and experience with sensitive healthcare data.
• Must be based in the United States.
