Senior Data Scientist (Healthcare)

Location: Remote

Base salary: $166,500–$185,000 annually, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Ingest, transform, and accurately model eligibility, medical and pharmacy claims, prior authorization, and ADT healthcare data.
• Improve data models and pipelines using SQL and dbt.
• Develop scalable data transformations, novel attributes, and flags that enable care team action.
• Build visualizations and analytics to measure the impact of care enablement initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into technical plans for data models, pipelines, and analytics.
• Collaborate with product, growth, operations, engineering, analytics, and external healthcare data teams.

Requirements

• Expertise working with large healthcare datasets, including eligibility, claims, prior authorization, and ADT data.
• Experience designing data models for operations and analytics and implementing transformations in SQL.
• Strong proficiency in data modeling, data transformation, and claims analytics.
• Ability to design scalable, reusable solutions for internal customers.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders and comfort working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
• Experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Scientist, or Data Engineer in a scaling organization.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt or willingness to learn it quickly.
• Experience with Looker or similar business intelligence and visualization tools.
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Experience in a healthcare-focused technology startup with mature data structures and pipelines.
