What you will do

• Evaluate books, vintage posters, and collectibles for Marketplace estimate requests.
• Conduct extensive research to establish provenance, publication, and exhibition history of property.
• Write and proofread high-quality catalogue notes and essays.
• Coordinate and manage sellers and their property through pre- and post-sale processes.
• Enter and edit catalogue data in ADM to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Liaise with Central Receiving and Photo Catalogue departments for shoot lists and layouts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Three years of experience in a related field, with an auction background preferred.
• Must be based in New York, USA.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• High level of attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of SAP, MARQ, ADM, and Brightspot.
• Proven administrative experience within the art or collectibles market.
