Senior API Specialist (Remote)

Senior API Specialist (GraphQL/REST): Supporting and scaling partner integrations for orders, menus, delivery, and store-hours APIs with an accent on onboarding, technical troubleshooting, and API reliability. Focus on diagnosing webhook and authentication failures, improving observability and support processes, and guiding partners through the GraphQL-to-REST migration.

Salary: $103,837–$133,655 annual target cash compensation, including base salary and bonus target.

What you will do

• Own API partner onboarding and technical support from setup and token generation through testing, launch readiness, and early-life support.
• Support GraphQL Orders, Menus, Delivery, and Store Hours API integrations, including payload mapping, webhooks, authentication, and order-flow issues.
• Reproduce and isolate complex issues with Postman, GraphQL, logs, webhook payloads, and related troubleshooting tools.
• Coordinate with Product, Engineering, PMO, Menus, Operations, partners, and vendors to resolve escalations and improve integration outcomes.
• Monitor API tickets, incidents, usage, and health trends to identify recurring failures and reliability risks.
• Improve support playbooks, documentation, training, migration plans, and scalable processes for the API partner ecosystem.

Requirements

• Strong experience supporting API-based integrations in technical support, implementation, partner support, or solutions-oriented roles.
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL and/or REST APIs, JSON or XML, logs, webhooks, and event-driven flows.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, manage escalations, and coordinate cross-functional resolutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong operational mindset with the ability to improve documentation, workflows, and support systems.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States and travel up to 5 days per quarter when required.

Nice to have

• Experience with B2B SaaS integrations, external developers, or restaurant technology partners.
• Familiarity with Postman, webhook inspection, HMAC signature validation, Zendesk, SumoLogic, or Sigma.
• Working knowledge of SQL or Python for data analysis, log investigation, or lightweight automation.
• Experience with API versioning, migrations, deprecation planning, proactive monitoring, or root cause analysis.
• Experience mentoring teammates or acting as a senior escalation resource.
