Software Engineer (Web3)

Location: Must be based in Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY (in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week)

Salary: $166,000 - $195,000 USD (Base pay for Zone 1)

What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy scalable backend services powering the Robinhood Wallet.
• Develop product-facing features for cryptocurrency and tokenized stock trading, including perpetual futures.
• Implement improvements to system performance, engineering productivity, and risk reduction.
• Collaborate with client teams, product managers, designers, and external vendors to deliver technical solutions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software development.
• Expertise in Go, Python, or Java with deep knowledge of cloud-native architectures.
• Strong grasp of system design, data modeling, and software engineering fundamentals.
• Must be based in Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY.

Nice to have

• Experience working with DeFi protocols, crypto wallets, or blockchain companies.
• Familiarity with EVM blockchains and smart contracts.
